Church Leaders
Brian is 63 years old and married to Janice and they have 4 children.
He became a Christian at 18 and spent 36 years or so in one church.He was a deacon there for 22 years and was involved in youth work and Sunday school.
Together with Janice they have served overseas on short term missions in Albania and India.
For the last 7 years Brian has been the mainstay of the team here helping develop this church. His primary responsibility and love is pastoral care. Brian also leads a housegroup.
His hobbies are gardening, DIY, walking and hoping to catch fish.
Gerald is 69. He and Ruth have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Gerald
was baptised in 1959. He worked for many years in residential schools
for those with special needs and later as a Special Needs Advisor.
In later years he taught English as a Foreign Language. He and Ruth went to the former Yugoslavia and to Finland - both times to assist Bible Students to learn English.
Gerald helps to lead a housegroup. He enjoys serving. He used to enjoy camping holidays but now prefers a solid roof and comfortable bed.
John is married to Lorraine and has four children, Neil, Andy, Dave and Sue, and three grand-children, Oliver, Tessa and Jacob. They have lived in Teignmouth since 1985. John has taught mathematics for thirty eight years, the last sixteen at Trinity School in Teignmouth. However he is now teaching only part-time, together with various grand-parenting duties.
John became a Christian at age 32, largely due to the witness of his own Christian pupils at Teignmouth Community College. Since then he has been a member of Chudleigh Parish Church, Teignmouth Baptist Church and now North Teignmouth Community Church.
